Staying on top of potholes

Dear Editor,

Could I pass on the news to cyclists who use the A726 Queensway in East Kilbride going west from West Mains Road roundabout to the off-ramp for Philipshill Interchange roundabout.

All the large “missing road surface potholes” have been brought to the attention of Transport Scotland contractors personnel.

With the good weather coming, more cyclists will be using this busy route and they can be reassured that issues have been brought to the attention of the authorities who are responsible for maintaining it.

Keep this in mind if you happen to get injured or there is damage to your expensive bicycle. Cycle safely please.

And all this from a car driver – yes, a car driver!
