David Warnock said:“Funny South Lanarkshir­e Council promising to spend all that money as not that long back in their report published in EK News, they were looking at slashing their road funding bill due to having to balance the books, so where has all this funding suddenly come from?”

Scott Redpath said:“The recent “micro surfacing” carried out around the town was farcical to say the least. Lickprivic­k Road lasted a mere few months and then had to be relaid once again.”

Susan Haldane said:“Roads in EK are a mess. Small patch-ups done and then a few weeks later huge holes again.

“Need to be done properly to start with and maybe the roads will last longer.”

Brian McCallum said:“Stop using cheap materials to bring the jobs in on budget. It’s a false economy.”
