Duoare incourt facing charges
Two men have appeared in court in connection with a spate of robberies.
Jamie Baird, 30, from Motherwell, North Lanarkshire and Luke Blackwood, 24, from Helensburgh, Argyll & Bute appeared in private at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Friday.
Between them, the duo are facing six charges of assault and robbery, and attempted robbery.
They made no plea or declaration and the case was continued for further examination. They were remanded in custody meantime.
Baird and Blackwood are expected to appear back in court at a later date.
Police launched an investigation after William Hill bookmakers in St Leonards Square was robbed on Friday, June 1 followed a short time later by a Spar store in Stonehouse.
On Tuesday, June 5 into Wednesday, June 6, Old Coach Road Service Station and the BP Queensway North Service Station were robbed along with a service station in Dumbarton, West Dunbartonshire.
