Medal magic for Master Hutton Fitness

East Kilbride’s Master Hutton Fitness won a total of 31 medals at the 19th Scottish Open championsh­ips hosted by Grand Master Sheena Sutherland at the Emirates Sports Arena in Glasgow.

Six golds, 12 silver and 13 bronze were secured with Master Hutton delighted to send some of his students to compete at this important ITF tournament calendar event recently. A list of the medal winners is as follows: Gold – Callum Currie (patterns); Thomas Hill (sparring); Ben Cohen (sparring); Megan Kennedy (patterns); Jack Lobban (patterns); Sophia Prewett (patterns).

Silver – Lewis McShane (sparring); Fiona Raeburn (patterns and sparring); Abigail McGlynne (patterns); Rhiannon Brownlie (sparring); Dean McMorris (sparring); Margot Cohen (sparring); Megan Kennedy (sparring); Alex Campbell (patterns); Jack Lobban (sparring and kickboxing); Rebecca McMorris (sparring).

Bronze – Theo Barr (patterns and sparring); Zayaan Ahmad (sparring); Lewis McShane (patterns); James McIntosh (sparring); Lynne McIntosh (sparring); Abigail McGlynne (sparring); Jamie Goodwillie (patterns and sparring); Andy Smith (continuous kickboxing and point kickboxing); Holly Breathnack (sparring); Sophia Prewett (sparring).
