Road closures affecting East Kilbride and Avondale:
East Kilbride
●GLASGOW ROAD, NERSTON. Closed between A749 Glasgow Road and Crookedshields from 7am on Monday, June 18 to 7pm on Friday, June 22 for resurfacing work. Diversion via A749 Glasgow Road and Glasgow Road Nerston (South).
●AYTON PARK NORTH / AYTON PARK SOUTH. Closed between Cantieslaw Drive and Maxwellton Avenue from 7.30am on Monday, June 18 to 7pm on Friday, June 22 for resurfacing work. Diversion via Maxwellton Avenue and Cantieslaw Drive.
●WESTWOOD HILL. Closed between Westwood Road and Lickprivick Road from 7am on Monday, July 9 to Sunday, July 15 and Monday, July 16 to 7pm on Sunday, July 22 for carriageway resurfacing works. Traffic will be dvierted via Westwood Road and The Murray Road.
●SUMMERFEST. Bosfield Place and Morar Place are closed from their junctions with Old Coach Road and its termination between 7am on Saturday, June 23 and 7pm on Sunday, June 24.
●JACKTON ROAD. Closed between Newlands Road and Newlandscroft to Friday, June 15 for maintenance and drainage work. Diversion via Newlands Road, Greenhills Road, Eaglesham Road, Jackton Road and vice versa.
●WYNYARD GREEN. Closed from Tasman Drive to its termination until 6pm on Friday, June 15 for resurfacing work.
●FLINDERS PLACE. Closed from Murchison Drive to its termination until 6pm on Friday, June 15 for resurfacing work.
Auldhouse
●MEADOWHEAD HIGHWAY. Closed between Meadowhead Farm access and Cladence Highway from Friday, April 13 to Monday, Octobeer 12, 2020 for road safety reasons. Diversion via Cladence Highway, Millwell Road and Ardochrig Road.
Thorntonhall
●BRAEHEAD ROAD. Closed between Barbana Road and Craigpark from 7am on Monday, June 25 to 7pm on Tuesday, June 26 for Scottish Power works. Diversion via Peel Road, B764 Eaglesham Road, Redwood Drive and Barbana Road.
Strathaven
●B7086 STRATHAVEN TO LESMAHAGOW ROAD. Closed between Craig Bridge and St Anne’s Well to Sunday, June 17 for resurfacing works. Alternative route is B7086 Strathaven Road, B7078 Carlisle Road, A71 Ayr Road, A71 Stonehouse bypass, A71 Strathaven Road, A71 Stonehouse Road, A71 Kirk Street, B7086 Station Road, B7086 Lesmahagow Road and vice versa.
●A723 HAMILTON ROAD. Closed between Aspen Place and A723 Commercial Road over the following times – only small sections of the road will be closed at any one time: to Thursday, June 7; Monday, June 11 to Thursday, June 14; Monday, June 18 to Sunday, July 8. Alternative route via A72/A724 to Burnbank, High Blantyre Road, Main Street, A725 East Kilbride Expressway/Kingsway, A726 to Strathaven, A723 Commercial Road and vice versa.
●A723 COMMERCIAL ROAD. Closed between A723 Hamilton Road and Loudon Street from Monday, July 9 to Wednesday, August 15 – only small sections of the road will be closed at any one time. Alternative route via A72/ A724 to Burnbank, High Blantyre Road, Main Street, A725 East Kilbride Expressway/Kingsway, A726 to Strathaven, A723 Commercial Road and vice versa.
●B743 MUIRKIRK ROAD. Closed between High Dykes Farm and Redding Road from Monday, October 8 to Friday, October 12 for road surfacing works. Alternative route via B743 Muirkirk Road, A70 Muirkirk Road, B743, B7037, A719, A71 Darvel Road, B743 Muirkirk Road and vice versa.
Glassford
●ALSTON STREET. Closed between Millar Street and Muirburn Road from 10am to 6pm on Saturday, June 16 for Glassford Gala Day.
