So much help since blaze

- Chair Maureen Potter, Friends of Langlands Moss (FOLM)

Dear Editor,

I am writing on behalf of The Friends of Langlands Moss Local Nature Reserve (FOLM).

I’d like to thank the people of East Kilbride and the surrounding area for all the encouragement they have given to us over the past difficult year since the second boardwalk fire.

I would especially like to thank Joe Knowles and Robert Henderson of Volunteering Matters, Action Earth for helping to finance our events and South Lanarkshire Council Community grants for funding our new website which is www.friendsoflanglandsmoss.org

I’d also like to thank Lisa Liddell of Sainsbury’s town centre branch for helping to finance the bridges in the new woodland walk; Heather and Martin of Beechwood Cattery for financing the signage; Joe Cameron and East Kilbride Young Farmers’ Club for all their hard work in helping to surface the paths and South Lanarkshire Council rangers and community justice for their hard work.

Last, but definitely not least, the wonderful volunteers who make FOLM such a special group – thank you.
