Police have issued a fresh plea for information after a vulnerable East Kilbride patient was spotted on CCTV in Glasgow two days after going missing.

Thomas Lennox, 19, has now been missing for almost two weeks after disappearing from University Hospital Hairmyres at around 7.20pm on Friday, June 8.

Officers confirmed a sighting of the Airdrie teenager on CCTV walking along Victoria Road in Glasgow’s south side at around 2.30am on Sunday, June 10, and talking to people outside McDonald’s restaurant on Pollokshaws Road around 2am.

Inspector Aidan Higgins said: “We are asking members of the public to think back and remember where they were between 1.30 am and 3am on Sunday, June 10.

“You may have been at the Beyonce and Jay Z concert on Saturday evening or have been returning home from a night out in Glasgow. Did you see or speak to a man matching his description?

“If you have any information that can help us to trace Thomas’s movements after that time, no matter how big or small, we would urge you to come forward.

“Thomas has mental health issues and has no medication with him or access to money. He has not made contact with any family or friends which is out of character , his family is desperately worried about him. As time goes on we are becoming increasingly concerned as to his wellbeing.”

Thomas is described as 5ft 8in tall, of stocky build and with short black hair. When he was last seen he was wearing a black and grey zipped hooded top, black tracksuit bottoms with writing on the left hand side and red trainers.

He has a tattoo on his right hand that says ‘Kalise’ and a tattoo on his left arm that says ‘Gary jnr’.

Anyone with information is urged to call 101, quoting incident number 3972 of Friday 8 June 2018.
