Archers hit the mark for classifications
EK Archery Club have just completed a very successful indoor season by awarding their Annual Indoor Classifications.
Despite only being resurrected two years ago, after more than 10 years dormant, the club has gone from strength to strength, attracting members from across the local area.
Some have only been shooting for less than six months, but they have joined a host of club members taking part in the monthly target days, which allows them to be put forward for the classification scheme run by Archery GB.
The classifications (which range from A to H, A being the highest) are the best indication for archers of where they are in terms of scoring ability and provide a benchmark for levels of improvement.
Some of the archers who have qualified are pictured above. They are, from left to Right: Alison Ross – D class; Stuart Clark – E class; Alison Findlay – D class; Duncan McNeil – E class; Colin Dakers – D class; James McCredie – F class; Cameron Ross – D class; Andy Findlay – D class; Emily Tilbury – D class; Lauren Findlay – E class; David Cawdron – E class; Martin Spiers – E class. Also receiving classifications but not pictured are : Stuart Ferguson – E class; Rob Russell – E class; Paul Stewart – F class; Sharon Donnelly – D class; Eleanor Sneddon – E class; Duncan McEwan – F class; Megan Stewart – E class.
