Do you think your little treasure has got what it takes to be crowned East Kilbride’s cutest kid?
If so, we want you to enter a picture into the East Kilbride News’ special Cute Kids supplement.
Whether it’s a bouncing baby, a toddler or an infant, we want to see your little ones.
Our competition is open to everyone in East Kilbride and has three age categories: 0 to 9 months; 9 to 18 months and 18 months to 3 years.
The winner from each category will receive a fantastic photoshoot with local photographer Amanda Hemphill Photography and a large print canvas.
It’s so easy to enter. All you need to do is visit www.eastkilbridenews.co.uk/cutekids and follow the simple instructions.
We even have a handy photo guide there to help you.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept any entries by post.
How to enter 1) Log on to www.eastkilbridenews.co.uk/cutekids. We can only accept entries online.
2) You’ll be asked to enter your details as the parent or carer and your child’s name and date of birth. If your child is nine months before Friday September 14, 2018, then you can enter the 0 to 9 months category.
If your child is 18 months before September 14, then you enter the 9 to 18 months category.
If your child is 18 months to three years before September 14 then you can enter the 18 months to 3 years category.
3) You will then be asked to upload your entry photograph. To make it easier for judging we ask if you can send a reasonably close up head shot in portrait format. 4. The closing date for the entry is Friday September 14, 2018.
How to vote Readers can vote for the cutest kids by collecting three voting vouchers, one each week, starting on Wednesday, September 19 and sending these into us. Voting closes on Friday, October 12, 2018.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS 1. Your child must be up to the age of three to enter and must be entered into the correct age category. The correct age category is determined by the child’s age on the last day to enter the competition which is Friday, September 14, 2018. Please refer to the Date of Birth ranges on the entry form if you are unsure of which category your child should be in.
2. Entries must be made online at www.eastkilbridenews.co.uk by midnight on Friday, September 14, 2018. All entries must be made by a parent who currently has parental responsibility or a guardian who is responsible for the child. Entries from other individuals may be withdrawn.
3. No photocopies of voting vouchers will be accepted.
4. Only one entry per child will be accepted.
5. All photos will appear in the paper in a picture supplement week commencing October 1, 2018. You have until Friday, October 12, 2018 to vote for your cute kids winners.
6. The winner will be announced in East Kilbride News on week commencing October 22, 2018. The winner for each category is the child who receives the greatest number of votes. Each winner will receive a photoshoot with Amanda Hemphill Photography and a large canvas. In the event of a tie, the Editor’s decision will be final.
7. East Kilbride News cannot be held responsible for the quality of photographic print in the newspaper or any misspellings of entrants’ names. Entrance to the competition will automatically involve the publishing of the child’s name and photograph. East Kilbride News cannot be held responsible for missing or nonfeatured photos. All entry photos must be suitable for publication. Any unsuitable photo will result in the entry being withdrawn from the competition.
8. The winners will be decided by the readers collecting voting vouchers in East Kilbride News.
9. Employees of East Kilbride News and associated companies are not eligible to enter. Standard Reach rules apply see eastkilbridenews.co.uk/ rules. The decision of the Editor is final.
