-

McInally sticks it to Rovers

Jay McInally netted the only goal of the game to secure a 1-0 friendly victory against Albion Rovers for the Kilby Reserve side, but not without the expense of a trip to A&E.

A resolute performance from the K-Park second-string earned an impressive win against a Rovers side fielding five first team players last Tuesday night at K-Park.

The only goal of the game came from McInally in the second half, who later suffered a nasty gash to his eye which had to be glued over.

The win wrapped up their pre season campaign with competitive action kicking-off last night against Queen’s Park.

Semi-final place secured

Kilby’s under-16s secured their place in the League Cup semi final after beating last year’s Scottish Cup finalists Falkirk 4-0. Kirkpatrick stuck two past the Bairns with Maxwell and Ducket grabbing one a piece.

Five-star Golds

The U19 Golds knocked five passed Drumsagard to win 5-1. Man of the match Lee Bowers scored four and Danny Hashim netted the other in a League cup sectional match.

Young Bankies given dose of the Blues

There was a convincing victory for the U19 Blues as they beat Clydebank 4-1. McLaughin grabbed a brace with Risi and Smith also on the scoresheet in the League Cup.

Second-half rally

EK’s under-17s produced a cup comeback against PFD United. A goal down after 55 minutes, Kilby rallied to turn the game on its head, securing a 3-1 victory. Goals from Hill, Kelly and Smith ensured their progress.
