Hands up for show business
Strathaven Show sizzled in the drizzle as young and old enjoyed the town’s annual agricultural exposition.
There was a great turnout at the Over Lethame Showfield – with plenty of entries in the respective livestock competitions.
Kids were given a treat as they sat in tractors and looked at the animals while there were a number of stalls selling everything from food and drink to crafts and jewellery.

The fun didn’t fizzle out when drizzle fell on this year’s annual agricultural exposition in Strathaven.
The jam-packed event at Over Lethame Showfield on Saturday attracted a whole host of entries to its popular livestock sections.
Overall winners Jenny Devine and Martyn Hill of Hillend Farm, Roberton, Biggar were crowned champion of champions by judge Ian Leggate of South Flakefield Farm in Chapelton.
Other popular activities included the ridden horse and pony classes, junior and senior unaffiliated showjumping, the dog show and the all-important industrial, horticultural and vegetable sections.
