East Kilbride’s reserve team got their first league win of the campaign lastTuesday night as they comfortably defeated Ayr United 5-2 at K-Park.
After some disappointing results in the opening games, Kilby got their first points and their campaign is heading in the right direction.
First-half goals from McInally, Bell and Anderson saw the home side go into the break 3-1 up with Kidd and Russell adding to the scoresheet in the second half.
Kilby now travel to Stirling Albion on Monday, October 8.
Cup delight for Blues
The Blues Under-19s squad strolled into the next round of the SFA Youth Cup after defeating Alloa Athletic 5-1.
A strong performance at K-Park on Friday night ensured Kilby a place in the third round.
Collins grabbed a brace with McAninch, McLaughlin and Peden all making their mark as the Wasps were left well and truly stung.
Hats off to Bowers
An action-packed affair saw the Under-19s Golds draw 4-4 with a strong Clydebank team on Sunday afternoon.
Lee Bowers again showed his capabilities, scoring a hat-trick only a few weeks after putting five past Giffnock Under-19s with Kyle Craig chipping in with the other goal.
Twenty’s plenty
EKFC Under-17s recorded the result of the season after knocking TWENTY goals past St Convals in the second round of the Scottish Cup.
Goals from Kalvin Hill (6), Mitchell Foley (4), Blair Rossiter (2), Scott MacKinnon (2), Ben Richford, Shay O’Donnell, Ben Marshall, Ewan Hornell, Joe McDonald, Lewis Milligan blew their poor opponents away and booked Kilby’s place in the next round.
