Smith signs for Spi­ders

Ross Smith, part of EK’s Un­der-19s Blues side, has suc­cess­fully com­pleted a move to Queen’s Park after im­press­ing on trial with the Ham­p­den out­fit.

The left-sided player started draw­ing at­ten­tion to him­self as a vi­tal as­set of the Kilby Un­der-17 side, which won the SYFA Scot­tish Cup in May this year.

Derby de­light for Golds

EKFC’s Un­der-19 Golds ran out 3-0 win­ners over the Un­der-19 Blue side in the league cup semi fi­nal.

This was the sec­ond time the sides had met on cup duty this sea­son, but it was the Golds who ran out vic­to­ri­ous after los­ing 2-0 ear­lier in the sea­son.

Play­ing most of the game with 10 men didn’t hin­der the Golds though, as strikes from Kyle Craig, Jack McKenna and Ste­vie White se­cured their place in the cup fi­nal.

Golds make it five from five

EK’s 2006 Gold side con­tin­ued their ex­cel­lent start to the sea­son by mak­ing it five wins from five matches.

The squad ran out 7-4 win­ners against Strathaven Dy­namo to keep them at the top of the league.

Re­serves beat Bi­nos

The re­serve side recorded their sec­ond league win on the bounce with an ex­cel­lent 2-0 dis­play on a wet and windy night away to Stir­ling Al­bion.

Jay McI­nally added to his tally for this sea­son mak­ing it two goals in two, with Liam Craig also scor­ing – this time from the penalty spot.

Next up for the re­serve side is a cup tie at home to Airdire. Kick-off is at 7.45pm on Tues­day.
