Points boost for Reserves

It was announced earlier in the week that a breach of Reserve League regulations from Queen’s Park FC has resulted in EK’s 3-0 defeat now being amended to a 3-0 victory for the Kilby side.

The additional points puts the reserve team second in the league table sitting three points behind leaders Livingston with a game in hand. Last week’s cup match against Airdrieonians was postponed, but next up they face Berwick in the league.

Complacency costs Golds

A dramatic game of two halves saw the U19 Golds give away a four goal lead against Kirkintilloch Rob Roy U19s on Sunday.

Euan Aitken, Jordan Hutchison, Jack McKenna and an own goal put the home side four to the good before a second half collapse saw the side walk away with just a point.

Hunger pays off for Blues

East Kilbride U19 Blues fought back twice to grab a share of the points against Arthurlie Cantera.

The Kilby side found themselves up against it as they fell 2-0 behind but they rallied quickly to bring it back to 2-2.

Arthurlie then made it 3-2 but the home side dug deep and managed to find another equaliser, walking away with a point in a six goal thriller. Goals from a trialist, McLaughlin and Collins tied the game at 3-3.

Next up for the side is a tough cup tie against Calderbraes next week.

It was yet another three points for the U-17 side who racked up a 2-1 victory at home to Harmony Row.

The squad remain at the top of the table and are serious contenders for the league title this year.
