Comic Con is heading back to EK for a spooktacular event this Hallowe’en.

Following the success of the BGCP EK Comic Con earlier this year, show organisers and management at EK, East Kilbride started planning a follow up event at Scotland’s largest shopping and leisure centre.

Thousands of cosplayers and fantasy fans descended on EK’s Central Library in May, and organisers are expecting another host of ghouls, goblins and monsters at the Hallowe’en-themed event on Saturday, October 19.

Full details of the event will be released nearer the time however, organiser, Ian Bonar from BGCP Comic Con, has confirmed there will be some fantastic new features planned for the convention such as Jurassic Class, Horror Quiz and some traditional Halloween Party Games.

Ian said: “In addition to 50 plus traders, superhero face painting, cosplay competitions and comic art classes we will be looking to ramp things up with some special guests and a few all new Halloween-themed features.

“It’s going to be a great event and I am looking forward to seeing our cosplayers push the boat out with some outstanding Halloween costumes.”

EK, East Kilbride centre director, Ian McLelland, added: “The EK Comic Con was a huge success earlier this year with hundreds of comic and movie fans descending on the centre to show off their costumes.

“The cosplayers were a big hit with visitors to the centre, and I am sure the Halloween event will be just as popular.”
