Huntfornational climatechamp

-

Are you a secondary school pupil from East Kilbride passionate about stopping climate change?

The Hunter Foundation is on the lookout for Scotland’s next young climate change champion.

They are offering secondary pupils from across Scotland with a passion for the environment the chance to win a table for their school at a charity dinner.

The Hunter Foundation’s Sir David Attenborough charity event partners with Zero Waste Scotland to find Scottish school pupils with passion for the environment.

Pupils are being asked to take part in a competition to consider what changes could be made to address the growing crisis - focussing specifically on Scotland.

The best entry will secure the once-in-a-lifetime place at the event for themselves and a group of teachers and classmates.

Sir Tom Hunter said: “Climate change is happening now and we need to move quickly to address it.

“We are looking for answers and opportunities to what is clearly a global issue of concern, so who better to ask than the people who will be affected the most – our next generation of young Scots.”

To enter, you must get permission from your school. They will be responsible for getting you to and from the event if you win so you’ll need to keep them informed. The closing date for entries is Friday, February 7.

Your teacher will need to send your entry to schools@thehunterfoundation.co.uk and give the name of the school, an email address and phone number to get in touch that will be accessible during the February half term. A panel of judges will then select the winner.

Best of luck.
