A patient owner would be the crowning glory

A neglected bunny is desperately seeking a new home after being rescued by a Lanarkshire animal charity.

The Scottish SPCA is looking for a patient and understanding owner for Tiara, a rabbit who didn’t have the best start in life.

Scotland’s animal welfare charity has been caring for the white bunny for over four months after her previous owner could no longer care for her.

Tiara is four years old and wasn’t well socialised and, as a result, is not used to human contact.

Gillian Boyle, centre manager, said: “Poor Tiara wasn’t provided with positive interaction from a young age so she lacks the basic skills she needs to be a good companion.

“She can be quite standoffish and shy, especially with people she doesn’t know.

“Tiara can be a bit of a bully with other rabbits so she will need to be the only rabbit in her enclosure.

“We would like to find an owner who is going to be patient and help build her confidence at a gradual pace.

“Tiara needs to learn that humans can be trusted.

“We believe that with the right owner, she will come out of her shell and be a loving pet.”

Gillian added: “She loves playing with her toys and eating her vegetables and hay treats. Tiara also loves a new toy but as she’s so shy, she’ll only investigate when you’re not watching.

“We are hoping to find the perfect owner for Tiara. We want her to go to a home that can give her the start in life she didn’t get.”
