Wishaw indie rockers 20/20 are hoping to bring the noise at their huge headline gig in April.

The new kid’s on the block only formed last year but are more than ready to take on the bustling indie scene.

Consisting of Robbie Miller (drums & backing vocals) together with Cian (bass guitar), Liam (lead vocals & rhythm guitar) and Jay (lead guitar), the band all attend St Aidan’s High School together.

20/20 have already played a few gigs together, already creating a core fan base that will come out at every gig to support them.

Robbie told the Ticket: “We were all friends in school and were all really into music.

“We were in the same music class and just decided that we would give being a band a go.

“There are a few bands in our area that met in school and have went on to do great things.

“Luna The Professor are a recent example, we are really inspired by what they have done to get to the position they are in.”

The lads, all 16, have started writing their own songs too, which they have been playing at their live shows.

They already have a track out called ‘Heatwave’ out, which is a indie rock song.

Robbie said: “We have written a few and been playing them live to get a feel for what people think.

“Heatwave has been getting some decent feedback and the other three or four we have been playing have been having good things said about them too.

“We are all really excited to get them recorded and let people listen to them.”

They have their most important show yet in April, a headline opportunity at Glasgow’s Room 2, playing to a potential crowd of 350.

And Robbie said that the band are more than ready for the challenge.

He added: “We have already sold about 100 tickets for the gig, meaning it will be quite busy.

“We are excited for this one, it is a massive opportunity.

“It is time for us to go full steam ahead and really knuckle down, we want to show people we are taking this seriously.

“For people thinking of coming down you can expect a brilliant atmosphere.

“There is always mosh pits, jumping around and great fun at a 20/20 gig.”

The gig takes place on April, 17 at Room 2 in Glasgow and is a 14+ event. Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult.

Support on the evening comes from Public Service and The Yuccaz.
