Have you got the munchies but don’t want to leave the house? Premier Stores in Westwood have you covered.

They have just launched their new Snappy Shopper app, meaning you can order crisps, sweets juice and even alcohol straight to your door.

The shop will be covering all of East Kilbride, going as far as Auldhouse and Thorntonhall.

Shop owner Claire Fulton told the News: “We were approached by the Snappy Shopper rep and immediately loved the idea.

“It is a really simple concept, you download the app and then input your postcode. Our shop will pop up straight away as we are the only store in the area that are on it.

“You can then browse everything in the shop on there and choose what you want to buy. We update it with all the latest stock and offers, so no one is missing out on anything.

”This is a really unique opportunity for our shop. We cover all across East Kilbride, meaning we have around a 75,000 person reach.

“It will take the business to the next level.” The app will charge a small fee to order (around 50p) and delivery costs £3, however your first order is free.

You can also pay for items using your card, or just pay cash at the door.

And delivery time is speedy too, with the shop aiming to deliver goods in 30 to 60 minutes.

And any concerns about ID checks and underage drinking are all catered for.

Claire said: “When the driver gets to the door he will apply Challenge25 like we do in the shop. If someone can’t confirm they are over 18 then they won’t get their delivery and be refunded.

“All the data for orders will be kept on our admin systems in store so it is a secure and safe setup.”

Orders are already flying in on the app and Claire said feedback is amazing.

The app is now available on mobile devices and can be downloaded via your phone’s app store, by searching ‘Snappy Shopper’.

And you can also claim free delivery on your first order if you use the code EKFREE.
