Foo’s tribute set to rock up

-

Get ready to rock when Foo Fighters GB come to Motherwell on March 6 this year.

Foo Fighters GB bring you the most authentic and genuine recreation of a

Foo Fighters gig in the tribute world.

This band has developed an enviable reputation, with years of hard work and a love of Foo Fighters music, which now sees them booked for gigs all over the UK.

The band have invested everything into creating a genuine sound, using authentic instruments as used by the Foo’s themselves.

This includes the drum kit used by the Foo Fighters at the now legendary Glastonbury headline gig.

With covers of famous Foo’s songs including The Pretender, All My Life and Everlong, this is an event not to be missed for fans of the rock titans.

This is a standing only event with a small number of unreserved seating at the back of the hall.

Under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult.

On March 11 and 12, comedian

Jimmy Carr will be at the Motherwell Concert Hall.

Jimmy’s brand new show contains jokes about all kinds of terrible things.

Terrible things that might have affected you or people you know and love.

But they’re just jokes – they are not the terrible things.

Having political correctness at a comedy show is like having health and safety at a rodeo.

East Kilbride band Beafets are ready to win people over at their next gig.

The band will open up for funk rockers The Roov next month, and they are ready to make it one for the crowd to remember.

Beafets first came together around five years ago and consist of Adam McMonagle, John Loughran, Scott Taylor and Aaron Johnston.

John told The Ticket: “I think this will be a really fun gig.

“The Roov are a lot more funky than us in terms of their sound and attract a different crowd.

“It is always good to play on a gig with a bill that is quite different. If you always play on bills that are just indie acts then people might think that’s all your band is.

“These kind of bills mean people might see us as a bit different and will allow us to try win some people over who might not have seen us before.”

The gig is being held in Glasgow venue Broadcast, a venue the lads are no stranger to.

John said: “We love playing Broadcast, it is just such a great gig venue.

“We have played there as a band a few times before and we always get a good feeling about gigs there. It is somewhere I’ll go in my own time as well.”

The band are also preparing to release new single TV, the last in a trilogy of singles recently put out.

This one sounds a bit different to what fans are used to, but John is hopeful people will still enjoy it.

He said: “We are just waiting on getting the final master back and hope to get it out next month some time.

“It’s a big sounding song that usually features at the start of our set. It is a very rhythm driven track that is on the heavier side of indie rock.

“With each track we want to try and be a bit different. I really hope that people gravitate towards the single – I really like the sound of it.”

Looking ahead to the rest of the year, the four-piece have some big plans, including new music and potential headline gigs.

John added: “We have some studio time booked up for spring time to record some new songs we have written.

“I think a possible headliner could be on the cards as well. We have been thinking of maybe having one at 13th Note in Glasgow.

“That was where one of our first shows was and we played alongside The Lapelles who we were great pals with.

“I think coming up to the fifth anniversary of that, and with everything that sadly happened, it would be a really sentimental gig.”

Beafets will open for The Roov on Saturday, March 14, in Broadcast, Glasgow. Other support comes from Facendo Cose.

Tickets are available now via the band’s social media accounts.
