Prolific performer to pay tribute to musical icons

A popular Coatbridge singer will treat audiences to some of the most iconic tunes of all time next month– and tickets are on sale now.
Colin Scougall returns to Airdrie’s Sir John Wilson town hall with a brand new extravaganza on Saturday, April 25.
Scotland’s “king of easy listening” is back with a performance packed with classic songs made famous by the “great crooners of the 20th century”.
Colin will take the audience on a nostalgic trip with favourite melodies such as Fly Me to the Moon, Beyond the Sea and Unforgettable.
He will pay tribute to popular vocalists like Tom Jones, Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Andy Williams, Matt Monro and Dean Martin, with tremendous backing from his amazing live band.
Colin said: “It’s always a thrill to perform some of the best songs of all time and the audience is in for a marvellous musical treat.
“I really enjoy singing tunes made famous by the like of Tom Jones, Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole, who are all musical idols of mine.
“My live band are wonderful and bring a superb sound to the stage.
“I hope as many people as possible – including music fans from all over Lanarkshire – turn out for the gig next month.
“It’s great to perform in Airdrie or Coatbridge and the town hall is a special venue I have enjoyed many a gig in over the past three decades.”
Colin has been performing for an astonishing 35 years – and shows no signs of slowing down.
He said: “I still have tremendous passion for what I do and I will continue to sing for as long as possible.
“Nothing beats the buzz of picking up that microphone and belting out a tune in front of an enthused audience.
“Music has always been my dream career and I am very fortunate to still be performing after all this time.”
