Police nab car owned by gangster Vehicleoutsidedoggroomer

Police officers brought a quiet town to a standstill as they impounded a car belonging to a gangland figure.
Up to nine vehicles from a police “disruption team” swooped at a dog grooming and fertility clinic in Strathaven.
It is run by Scott Bennett – who was shot in the face in a gangland feud last year – and his wife Lynne Brockett.
During the operation, officers removed an uninsured blue Audi sports car which was parked outside Platinum Dog Services.
Brockett, 36, later claimed she and Bennett are being harassed following a planning application victory, which saw them controversially overturn a council’s refusal to sanction an industrial kennels complex that was built without permission.
The Scottish Government’s reporter gave the green light to the building – despite Bennett threatening to kill his nextdoor neighbour in a row over its construction.
The convicted drug dealer’s home at Brae Farm, Auldhouse, has been visited by police on a number of occasions in the last 12 months.
Some visits related to the ongoing threat to Bennett’s life.
Others came after repeated incidents reported by neighbours. In a Facebook post, Brockett said the police activity was about car insurance and amounted to “pure harassment”.
Bennett, 40, was recently fined £1000 and slapped with a three year non-harassment order at Hamilton Sheriff Court after he admitted threatening to kill next-door neighbour Drew Miller in a row over the kennels.
