Lockdown rules are flouted by idiot pair

This is the shocking moment two idiot women put their lives and that of others at risk by flouting quarantine rules.

The women, who we have chosen not to name or identify but who are thought to be aged 24 and 46, were running riot in EK, East Kilbride on Wednesday afternoon.

Public videos shared of the two show them running around the town centre drinking, licking the window of the Job Centre and “giving cheek” to security guards there.

In it the crass pair can be heard saying they were ‘getting their nails done’ because ‘“nae c**t else is here” and goading security officers by saying “I’m gonnae lick the windae...is there any security guards here”.

And the video has sparked anger amongst locals, with one telling the News: “This is absolutely disgusting and these two need named and shamed .”

The Scottish and UK Governments implemented new containment regulations at the end of last month as coronavirus gripped the nation.

That came with new laws for police officers to help govern the coronavirus lockdown restrictions.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson said the people of Britain had all been “enlisted” in the fight against COVID-19 and asked people to leave their homes only under a list of “very limited purposes”.

That was in an effort to stop the spread of the virus, protect the NHS, save lives and tackle “the biggest threat this country has faced for decades”.

That was reiterated by First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, who said the measures amounted to a necessary “lockdown”.

The women’s shameless actions came after a stark warning from East Kilbride’s Chief Inspector Lex Baillie who said his officers were not afraid to enforce their new powers.

He said cops were going to crack down on group meetings after reports of incidents across the area.

So far, 17 people across Lanarkshire have been fined for failing to comply with government lockdown rules amid the COVID-19 outbreak.

In East Kilbride, officers were called to a property in Seymour Green in Westwood last night after receiving intelligence that two people were unlawfully visiting another person’s property.

The 39-year-old male householder and his two guests, a 36-year-old female and 44-year-old male, failed to heed police advice and were ticketed.

They join four others from across Lanarkshire who were fined over the weekend.

Police can issue penalty notices of £30, rising to £60 if not paid within 28 days, where they have reason to believe there has been an offence under the new regulations.

These penalties are doubled for each repeat offence up to a £960 cap.

A spokesman for EK, East Kilbride, said: “Our security teams were made aware of two individuals acting inappropriately in the centre on Wednesday afternoon and they were immediately asked to leave the premises.

“When we were made aware of the full extent of their behaviour through the video footage, this was passed to the police.

“The safety and security of visitors, retailers and employees is our highest priority and we will not tolerate any behaviour that puts that at risk.”
