Hospice fund set up in memory of much loved Laura

-

The grieving family of ‘WonderWoman’Laura Cunningham have set up an online fund for the hospice in her name.

As reported in the News, the 32-year-old Celtic superfan from St Leonards lost her second battle with triple negative breast cancer on June 6.

Laura gained a large following of supporters, dubbed ‘WonderWoman’s Army’through her honest posts on social media.

She touched the hearts of many for her bravery and heroism in documenting her year-long fight.

And, despite her illness, Laura still found the time to raise funds for the Kilbryde Hospice, collecting over £600 for the charity through a birthday fundraiser.

Celtic skipper Scott Brown led tributes to the Hoops supporter after a dream meet and greet with her idol at Parkhead.

Now, as a thank you to the incredible team at Kilbryde for the “amazing love and care”they gave Laura, her family have set up a lasting legacy.

They aim to raise £1000 in her memory through a dedicated JustGiving page.

Her heartbroken parents Sadie and John Doogan wrote:“We are raising cash to support Kilbryde Hospice because they didn’t just nurse our daughter through her last few weeks, they poured love and attention on her as they tended her medical needs.

“It’s not a job to them, it’s definitely a vocation. We want the team (now friends) to get the recognition they definitely deserve for pulling out all the stops.“
