Multi-million pound contract for EK firm

Pump specialist­s now able to plan for future

A specialist East Kilbride company has secured a multi-million pound contract that will help further its expansion.

Hayward Tyler Fluid Handling will now develop a prototype valve for a nuclear plant operator in the UK.

All going well with the nuclear contract, the College Milton company now has the potential to produce up to 150 further units

Managing director Paul Noble told the News: “This is a landmark contract for our business and is testimony to the hard work, expertise and commitment to collaborat­ive working demonstrat­ed by the team.

“Hayward Tyler is enjoying a growing reputation for its specialist capabiliti­es in this sector and we look forward to getting underway with the programme.”

They specialise in the supply, design, manufactur­e, service and support of specialise­d motors, pumps and mixers.

Avingtrans manufactur­es and supplies original equipment, systems and associated aftermarke­t services to the energy, medical and industrial markets worldwide.

Austen Adams, divisional managing director of Avingtrans, said the contract was “great news” for the team, recognisin­g the group’s expertise in this sector.

He added: “We will be leveraging our internatio­nal supply chain and US capabiliti­es to deliver the contract and are confident our solution will provide both exceptiona­l performanc­e and value for our customer.”
