TRANENT-BASED AC’S Taxis & Minibuses – one of the sponsors of the Courier’s foodbank appeal – operates 80 taxis and 25 minibuses across East Lothian.

An established, family-run taxi company, AC’S provides a complete taxi service for all sorts of requirements, from London cabs to minibuses or coaches from an extensive fleet.

The company runs a 24/7 call centre, meaning taxis can be booked at any time of day. Tracking taxis is also straightforward through the East Lothian Taxi app.

Employing about 150 people as part of the company, which was started about 45 years ago, the company puts strong focus on community engagement and giving back.

Sponsoring sports clubs and groups across the county including Lowland League football side Tranent FC, the company strives to benefit the people of East Lothian.

Robert Campbell Junior, partner at AC’S Taxis & Minibuses, said: “AC’S is the leading taxi company here in East Lothian and offers a wide range of transport services to meet the needs of all our customers.

“From taxis to coaches, there’s something for all transport requirements.

“On top of that, we always want to give back to the community and have done our part with a number of sponsorship opportunities.”

Speaking on the decision to sponsor the foodbank appeal,

Mr Campbell said: “This was another opportunity to give back and do something positive.

“We know there is a high demand for foodbanks and similar services in East Lothian, and all over the country too.

“It felt like the right thing to do to support this cause.”
