The online auction for Sadhguru’s painting honouring Bhairava, the bull at Isha Foundation who died recently, closed at `51 million (£545,759) on Sunday (5). The proceeds from the sale will be used to support vulnerable rural communities that have been affected by Covid-19.

Sadhguru has used entirely organic materials, including cow dung as the backdrop, as well as charcoal, turmeric and limestone, to create the painting. An earlier artwork titled ‘To Live Totally!’, which was an abstract oil on canvas, fetched him `41.4m.
