Superb singer delivers a stunning show filled with hits

Performer: Arijit Singh and band Producer: Rock On Music

AFTER having his tour postponed in 2020 and 2021, Arijit Singh returned for two dates at Utilita Arena in Birmingham and OVO Arena in London.

The undisputed king of Bollywood music did things differently and delivered two of the most astonishing concerts ever performed in the UK. Major singers will usually have an opening act, speak between each song they perform and have a big mid-show interval, but he did none of that. The incredible artist was on stage without a break for nearly three and a half hours, effortlessly jumping from one song to the next without a break.

He started off the London show with a soulful piano-led rendition of his star-making song Tum Hi Ho, before gliding into his great hits like Ghungroo, Dil Sambhal Ja Zara, Phir Bhi Tumko Chaahunga and Tujhe Kitna Chahne Lage.

The high-energy show powered by his performance was perfectly complimented by a brilliant band filled with world class musicians, stunning lighting design, surprise confetti bombs and an enthralled audience singing along to every song.

Instead of taking an interval, the singer sat on a stool with his simple acoustic guitar and delivered quick renditions of all-time classic Bollywood songs like Kabhi Kabhie, Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas and Ek Pyar Ka Nagma Hai. The second half was filled with his blockbuster hits like Gerua, but he also performed unique renditions of modern-day classics originally delivered by other singers like Saathiya and Pehli Nazar, which included remixing some together as he performed live.

The incredible artist didn’t give audiences a chance to catch their breath, as he kept firing musical bombs at them and had a sold-out arena enthralled. It was another triumph for leading concert producer Rock On Music and legendary British promoter Vijay Bhola, who showed once again that they are the masters of putting on an unforgettable show for UK audiences.
