DESIGN MIAMI, USA

Gleaming architectural icons (Herzog & de Meuron’s Perez Art Museum, Foster + Partners’ Faena House luxury condos and Sou Fujimoto’s shopping centre, to name but three) provide a fittingly modern backdrop to Design Miami, the offshoot of Art Basel. Held in a temporary pavilion just opposite the Miami Beach Convention centre, the fair will feature and sell works from galleries such as Galerie VIVID ( 4), a contemporary Dutch exhibition space. A new addition to the fair is Curio, in which tastemakers are invited to put together cabinets of curiosities, dotted throughout the site (6–10 December; designmiami.com).
