To celebrate 15 years of collaboration with Austrian crystal powerhouse Swarovski, London-based designer Tord Boontje’s new collection, ‘Luminous Reflections’, is his most boundary-pushing yet. It’s part of the newly revived ‘Crystal Palace’ project, in which Swarovski asks designers to reimagine the chandelier. Inspired by everything from the soft light captured in landscapes by artist JMW Turner to the way light reflects on water, Boontje worked with the team to create crystal forms that are sold individually, meaning the piece can be given a bespoke look.
