Alan Oliver, a new name on the rug scene, is someone to keep on your radar. His story is an inspiring one: after a career in finance, followed by five years in his own self-launched upholstery practice, his passion for craft led him to focus on weaving rugs, such as the popular ‘Geometric Patterned Rug’ ( left). ‘Most of my work is about movement through colour and pattern,’ says Oliver.
