In the green landscapes of the Cotswolds, a Dutch-style agricultural barn has become a seven-bedroom countryside retreat. Designed by London studio Turner Works, DUT18 features a black corrugated steel skin, spacious open-plan interiors and huge windows facing onto wildflower meadows and fields. The project was spearheaded by Laura Routledge and David Johnston, founders of creative agency Accept & Proceed. More than just a family holiday home, they conceived the building as a destination for wellness retreats and creative workshops, allowing different groups to escape city distractions and reconnect with nature (dut18.com; turner.works).
