For a lot of working people, the home had become something of a place of brief encounter. Post-pandemic, we’ve all taken a fresh look at our indoor spaces and, in many cases, have found them wanting. I expect we’ll see more emphasis on comfort, design, and health – from thinking about the ergonomics of our furniture and the toxicity of what goes into the objects in our homes, to seeking refuge in nature. Either through a reevaluation of gardens or by surrounding ourselves with house plants and natural materials.
