Q. WHEN WAS THE FIRST TIME YOU WORE LIP­STICK?

A. ‘Lip­stick al­ways got me in trou­ble. Whether it was at home as a kid or in my early teenage years in my ca­reer, I al­ways had the urge to wear it. So I broke all those rules. Now, lip­stick is like my li’l se­cret weapon!’

Q. WHAT’S THE CRAZIEST THING YOU’VE EVER TRIED FOR BEAUTY, AND WOULD YOU DO IT AGAIN?

A. ‘A corset – I’d wear it ev­ery day if I could make it out alive!’

Q. WHAT MAKES YOU FEEL DRESSY AND ‘DONE’, BEAUTY-WISE?

A. ‘My fin­ish­ing touch is usu­ally high­lighter. I just love the way it adds a sense of fantasy to any look.’

Q. OF ALL THE CELEBRI­TIES YOU’VE MET, WHO SMELLS THE BEST?

A. ’[Pho­tog­ra­phers] Inez [van Lam­sweerde] and Vi­noodh [Matadin]. Inez ac­tu­ally gifted me her scent, be­cause I was al­ways ask­ing about it.’

Q. WHO’S YOUR HAIR IDOL?

A. ’It’s be­tween Toni Brax­ton, from back in the day with all her short hair­cuts, and Cindy Craw­ford; she had the most ef­fort­less yet stun­ning hair.’

Q. WHO’S YOUR MAKE-UP IDOL?

A. ‘I’d have to go with [Six­ties model] Ver­uschka. She made make-up look like silk.’
