Brown Beach House is where Instagram magic happens. From plush blue velvet sofas, a chequerboard-patterned swimming pool and a library to rival Maison Assouline, Amsterdambased designer Saar Zafrir knows how to make everything look good – without a filter. This very cool boutique hotel is on the tiny, medieval island of Trogir, which is connected to the mainland and Ciovo island by bridge. Many of the 25 rooms have beautiful views of the Adriatic, just a few metres from the hotel.
The public beach in front may be pebbly, but hotel guests can use the private beach club.
