FOR A HEROINE who spends so much of her time globe-hopping, it took Lara Croft’s latest game a fair while to make the jump to Playstation 4. This new edition, which sees Croft hunt and scurry (and even raid the occasional tomb) everywhere from Syria to Siberia, comes with all of the downloadable content released in the year following its Xbox debut, along with a slew of extras — including a zombie-infested new chapter and the option to play in the form of the original un-curved, polygonal Croft. Some may bemoan the series’ veering from the grand architectural puzzles of its former days towards blockbusting gun-slinging, but in truth, there’s something here for most fans.
