CAPCOM’S FOURTH ENTRY in the Dead Rising series is quite the celebration. It’s not only set at Christmas, it also adds some much-needed sparkle to the familiar gameplay. Taking you through events occurring some 16 years after the original game, zombie apocalypse 2.0 brings you the walking dead in their thousands. The storyline is solidly entertaining throughout, but it’s the chaotic playground of zombie slaying that will keep a grin plastered to your face. Weapon crafting is cranked up a notch to maximum bonkers, with some welcome festive fun incorporated, too. Plus the variety of different zombies keeps things feeling fresh. Hilarious, creative and satisfyingly bloody.
