__ The opening shot of the movie finds a groggy Logan (Hugh Jackman) taking out a group of car thieves in graphic fashion. “My feeling was that if you’re going to make a movie about a guy with blades, the whole point is that you see and feel them going in,” says Mangold, who sees this scene as a statement of intent. “I try to put forward an appetiser that can seduce my most sceptical audience members.”
