A day in the money bay with Fashion Crossover London
One sunny morning at the heart of London’s Canary Wharf, Ana Fenech-Nabokov, style icon, fashion week front-row loyalist and a guest of Met Gala VIP, paired with young photographer Adam Yudong Zhang, whose career highlight was capturing Asian pop icon and Burberry global ambassador Kris Wu, together went from strength to strength for an adventure with Fashion Crossover London designers to redefine fashion in the post-pandemic era.
Starting the backdrop with Mayfair-style, members-only The Quay Club is American artist and designer Stephanie Dillon of Citizen T, an ethical clothing brand that reimagines textiles sourced from landfills as a canvas for art.
Adding a distinct Seventies vibe to the money bay is young British designer Claire Tiplady, with her pieces teleporting us back to the years of peace, love and happiness! Her contrasting muted and bright designs featuring statement oversized lapels and signature weaving details, merged together with the immersive backdrop of The Clew — a structure by architectural firm Ottotto made from 100 circles of red light — like an art piece for a Christie’s auction.
“The body plays with the clothes and the clothes play with the body.” Adding a quirky, playful element to the silver skyline of Canary Wharf is Swiss designer Jope Schneider, with a collection that consists of futuristic concepts that challenge gender stereotypes.
With no time like the present, “The Time is Now” — perhaps with a little help from the investment firms in Canary Wharf — for designer Jodie Hughes, who aims to make a change in the world by raising awareness of how the issue of homelessness can be resolved in 2021.
