DAY 1 Tomorrow

The opening ceremony at Baku’s Olympic Stadium will have a cast of more than 2,000 and celebrate traditiona­l Azerbaijan­i culture.

DAY 2 Saturday

Double world champion Helen Jenkins is out of the women’s triathlon because of an ankle injury but Heather Sellars represents Team GB.

DAY 3 Sunday

Gordon Benson, Thomas Bishop and Philip Graves go in the men’s triathlon.

DAY 4 Monday

GB Olympic canoeing champion Ed McKeever (right) launches his bid for glory in the K1 200m.

DAY 5 Tuesday

Antony Fowler (75kg) and Joe Joyce (+91kg) are among several Team GB boxers in action while McKeever will hope to seal canoe sprint gold.

DAY 6 Wednesday

All eyes will be on Olympic champion Jade Jones as she goes for taekwondo gold in the -57kg category.

DAY 7 Thursday

Former British world No1 Aaron Cook competes for Moldova in taekwondo. He will be vying for a medal in the -80kg with Lutalo Muhammad, who was controvers­ially selected instead of Cook at the London 2012 Olympics.

DAY 8 Friday 19 June

Nicola Adams starts her bid to add a European Games title to her Olympic gold when she fights in the 48-51kg class. Bianca Walkden goes for a taekwondo medal in the +67kg.

DAY 9 Saturday June 20

British champions Millie Fowler and Millie Hafferty compete in the 3m synchronis­ed diving.

DAY 10 Sunday June 21

There is no Tom Daley but he has picked out his “mini me” Matthew Dixon (right) as one to keep an eye on. Dixon, competing in the 10m platform, is only 15 but was ninth at the Commonweal­th Games last year.

DAY 11 Monday June 22

The action hots up in the boxing as it

reaches the quarter-finals. Team GB have 12 boxers in Baku.

DAY 12 Tuesday June 23

Swimming gets under way with Team GB’s promising juniors hoping to make their mark in the pool.

DAY 13 Wednesday June 24

The beach soccer competitio­n begins. Russia are the favourites in the eight-team event.

DAY 14 Thursday June 25

The 3 on 3 basketball reaches its climax for the men and women.

DAY 16 Saturday June 27

Gemma Gibbons (left) won a silver in one of the most memorable moments of London 2012 andd she will be amining for judo gold in the -78kg. Elsewhere, Britain’s Fowler will be hoping to be fighting foror the middleweig­ht title.

DAY 17 Sunday June 28

8 Golds are up for grabs in badminton, beach soccer, BMX, judo and volleyball before the closing ceremony ends the Games.
