- Simon Johnson Football Correspondent

CESC FABREGAS will reject a transfer to AC Milan this summer because he has little interest in moving to Serie A.

The midfielder’s future at Chelsea is uncertain despite impressing as a fringe player this term.

Fabregas has started just 10 Premier League games and is likely to drop further down the pecking order with Ch Chelsea closing in on a £40million deald for Monaco star Tiemoue BakBakayoko, who is being earmarked to play alongside N’Golo KanteK next season. StandardSt Sport revealed lastla October that AC Milan want to exploit the situation andan have made Fabregas (lefleft) their main transfer target.tar

TheT Serie A leaders haveh money to spend aftera Chinese consortium,c Rossoneri SportS Investment Lux, boughtb the club last month.m They are preparedp to pay up to £30m3 for the former BarcelonaBa star.

ButBu it is understood that Fabregas,Fabr who has two yearsyear left on his contract, has no desire to move to the San Siro or, in fact, join any Italian side. FabregasFab still hopes to stay aat Chelsea, but is determineddeterm to remain living in LonLondon regardless.

The formerf Arsenal captain turns 30 on Thursday and is very settled in the capital with his partner Daniella Semaan, who last month gave birth to their third child.

Fabregas has lived in the city for most of his career and in February spoke of his appreciation for the way of life in this country.

He said: “I really identify with England. With the lifestyle, education, everything. My daughter was born here, my wife is from here. I’m in love with London, I really like the city, how everyone behaves.”

Fabregas is paid around £170,000 a week, making him one of the highest earners at Chelsea.

He joined from Barcelona for £30m in 2014 and despite his limited role under Antonio Conte has six goals and 10 assists in all competitions this campaign.

Chelsea had been prepared to listen to offers for the Spain international but may change their mind with the club back in the Champions League and competing on four fronts next term.

With Fabregas not looking to leave London, there are few clubs in the top flight that could afford to meet his wage demands.

Meanwhile, Cesar Azpilicueta says the squad are determined to win the League and FA Cup for departing captain John Terry.

The 36-year-old, who has won 14 major honours with the Blues, will leave the League leaders when his contract expires next month.

Defender Azpilicueta said: “The best way for him to leave will be winning two trophies and him lifting them both up.”
