DE BOER JETS IN AND IS SET FOR TAKE-OFF
DUTCHMAN IS THRILLED AS HE SIGNS THREE-YEAR PALACE DEAL
FRANK DE BOER was today confirmed as the new Crystal Palace manager, signing a three-year deal.
The 47-year-old reached an agreement with Palace over the weekend and flew into London this morning ahead of a press conference at the training ground this afternoon.
De Boer said: “I am thrilled to be appointed as manager of Crystal Palace. It is a great honour to take charge of such an historic club, a club known around the world for their hugely proud and passionate fan base. This role is a hugely exciting opportunity for me and I cannot wait to get started in the Premier League with the players and staff here in south London.”
His appointment ends what has been a difficult search for a new manager since Palace were stunned by the sudden resignation of Sam Allardyce last month.
Palace chairman Steve Parish said: “We have undertaken a thorough interview process to ensure we are in a position to appoint a manager of the calibre and experience that Frank brings with him. I am pleased to welcome him to Crystal Palace as we prepare for our record-breaking fifth season in the top flight.”

Milan in November after only 85 days in charge and thinks Palace is a good opportunity to rebuild his managerial career.
The former Holland defender had built an impressive reputation at Ajax, where he won four successive Dutch titles, and impressed Parish with his vision for Palace.
De Boer becomes the fifth Palace manager in four years since their return to the Premier League.
Palace are yet to confirm the makeup of their coaching staff but Parish has been keen to retain head of performance Ryland Morgans, Sammy Lee, who was assistant boss under Allardyce, first-team coach Kevin Keen and goalkeeping coach Martyn Margetson. It is thought De Boer wants to bring in an assistant.
The club also announced today a new shirt sponsorship deal with ManBetX.
