JLaw: I felt like I’d been violated ‘by the planet’ after nude photos leak

- Alistair Foster Showbusiness Correspondent

JENNIFER LAWRENCE has opened up about the pain she suffered after nude photos of her were leaked online, describing it as a “really impossible thing to process”.

The 27-year-old said she was still getting over the ordeal, which made her feel like she “got gang-banged by the f***ing planet”.

She was one of several celebrities who had their iCloud accounts hacked in August 2014. Nude photos were then posted on an internet forum.

Lawrence said: “I feel like I got gang-banged by the f***ing planet — like, there’s not one person in the world that is not capable of seeing these intimate photos of me.

“You can just be at a barbecue and somebody can just pull them up on their phone. That was a really impossible thing to process.” Many victims banded together to file a lawsuit, although she was not among them.

She said: “A lot of women were affected, and a lot of them reached out to me about suing Apple — and none of that was gonna really bring me peace, none of that was gonna bring my nude body back to me and Nick [her former boyfriend Nicholas Hoult], the person that they were intended for.”

Speaking on The Hollywood Reporter’s awards chatter podcast, she said: “When the hacking thing happened, it was so unbelievably violating that you can’t even put it into words. It was almost like a ransom situation where they were releasing new ones every hour or so.

“I think, like, a year and a half ago, somebody said something to me about how I was ‘a good role model for girls’, and I had to go into the bathroom and sob because I felt like an imposter… It’s so many different things to process when you’ve been violated like that.”

In January, Edward Majerczyk, 29, from Chicago, was jailed for nine months for hacking the accounts of 30 celebrities, including Lawrence.
