Fairburn flounce comes as a bonus to viewers

-

CRINGE of the year from Persimmon boss Jeff “Bonus” Fairburn who sent Twitter into meltdown during an interview with BBC Look North’s Spencer Stokes, who asked him about his hugely controversial £75 million bonus. Fairburn is reduced to smiling uncertainly, eyes flicking to the PR woman off camera. He doesn’t want to talk about it because “it’s been well covered, son”, before walking off camera to leave the viewer staring at a stack of bricks. He mutters, “I think it’s really unfortunate you’ve done that.” Better get used to it, son, because this one ain’t going away.

VOUCHERS firm Groupon, known for its discounts, seems to have made a boo boo. It is advertising a pork scratchings advent calendar for £13, down from, wait for it… £12.99. Greedy swine.
