BT SEALS DEAL TO SELL ITS FRENCH DOMESTIC ARM TO COMPUTACEN­TER

TELECOMS giant BT has agreed the sale of its French domestic arm to IT infrastruc­ture services business Computacen­ter.

BT’s domestic operations in France include managing and maintainin­g computer, phone and network infrastruc­ture for clients. The division recorded sales of around.£104 million in the year to March 2019.

The firms entered exclusive negotiatio­ns in March this year. No price for the deal was disclosed. After the sale, expected to complete before January, BT will retain a strong presence in the country, but will focus more on digital services for larger corporate clients.

For Computacen­ter the purchase will help it increase the number of its major domestic customers in France.
