BT SEALS DEAL TO SELL ITS FRENCH DOMESTIC ARM TO COMPUTACENTER
TELECOMS giant BT has agreed the sale of its French domestic arm to IT infrastructure services business Computacenter.
BT’s domestic operations in France include managing and maintaining computer, phone and network infrastructure for clients. The division recorded sales of around.£104 million in the year to March 2019.
The firms entered exclusive negotiations in March this year. No price for the deal was disclosed. After the sale, expected to complete before January, BT will retain a strong presence in the country, but will focus more on digital services for larger corporate clients.
For Computacenter the purchase will help it increase the number of its major domestic customers in France.
