“I will get used to the style of play and I think I will love it over here.

“I do not believe it will take me time to settle. My style suits the game i n Scotland. I love running and I don’t mind the physical side of the game.

“Pre-season is enough time to put the hard work in and be ready to make an impact when the season kicks off.”

The frontman continued: “The style of play is very different. The pressing is very unusual to me.

“In Holland it is more attacking with less long balls but that does not mean the football is any worse or better. It is just different.

“Strikers have to run a lot more over here and the game is a lot more physical.

“The play is tougher. In Holland the ball goes about much faster and you wait in the box, you can’t do that in Scotland.”

Since his teens, Teijsse has delivered goals, he sees no reason that won’t continue at Dens Park.

“This is now my fifth year as a striker. In that time I have scored a lot of goals,” he said.

“My average at a lower level in Holland is a goal every match I play.

“It will be hard to continue that over here but there is no better feeling than scoring.

“I hope the goals will come in Scotland. I hope to be great for Dundee.”
