Dark Blues pair passed fit to fly

-

KAne hemmings and James Vincent have travelled to Dundee’s warm weather pre-season training camp in Austria.

There were some doubts as to whether the injured duo would make the trip to Obertraun having not been named in either of the Dark Blues squads this summer.

But last season’s top scorer hemmings, who has been subject to speculation linking him with a move back to england in recent months, and new boy Vincent, signed on a free from inverness last month, were present in the 30-man travelling party sent over from Dens.

Also on the flight from edinburgh to Munich in the early hours of yesterday morning was James McPake, despite the news he will be out until January with a knee injury, suffered seven months ago.

Paul McGowan, who is still nursing a shoulder problem, and nicky Low have also made the trip, which eventually got to the central european camp base at around 1pm (local time) yesterday.

Speaking from Austria, Paul said: “They have all come over.

“We want the players to be together as a group from the start.

“This trip i s all about working on t hings and creating a togetherness.

“The players are bonding and getting to know each other. it is massive for the new players, as hungary has been for us the past two seasons.

“A lot of our good work for the season will be done over here.”
