Police renew appeal

POLICE in Dundee have renewed an appeal in order to try to find out the identity a man who was reported to be in difficulty while swimming in the River Tay at the start of the week.

Chief Inspector Ian Scott said: “We are again asking for help from members of the public to assist us in trying to identify the missing man.”

The man has been described as being 5ft 4in tall, of slim build and no older than 40. He was said to be bald with slight facial hair and was wearing a red T-shirt and dark plimsoll shoes. Police have also appealed to the man to get in touch if he is safe and well.
