Brightening up the town

A GROUP of D&A College students have created a window display at an empty shop to try to brighten up Arbroath High Street.

The move follows the Arbroath charrette process, with an interesting window display being one of the ideas put forward to improve morale and the town centre’s image.

It includes ceramics, jewellery and art created as part of the college’s HNC art and design course. Student Kristina Aburrow said: “I went to the charrette meetings along with Mary-Ann Orr, another student, and we decided to take the lead in getting some action going, with excellent help from the council.”
