Power project

PLANS to construct a biomass power plant in the west of Glenrothes have been submitted for approval.

The application would see the facility built at a greenfield site atWhitworth Road in Southfield Industrial Estate.

The proposal was put forward by London-based Sainc Energy Limited almost a year after the plans first came to light.
